Team Pairings and Course Assignments

O  Final Team Pairings and Course Assignments will be announced on Sunday, August 5 at the Celebration Party at Safeco Field. If a team will not have a representative at the party on August 18, their course assignment will be e-mailed to the team contact who is then responsible for informing the other team members. 

Tournament Format

O      Team scramble format played in foursomes. 

O      Competition rules and special contests will be posted on carts and announced prior to play.

 Player Tips

O      Proper golf attire as noted below is required.

Women: Shorts and skirts must reach within five inches of the center of the kneecap. Sleeveless blouses shall have a collar, but blouses with sleeves do not require a collar. Denim (jeans of any color) sweat suits, halter-tops, jogging shorts, tank tops and tennis shorts are not permitted.

Men: Shorts must reach within five inches of the center of the kneecap. Shirts must have collars and be tucked in unless they have a banded bottom. Mock tees and turtlenecks are allowed. Hats must be worn bill forward and are not permitted in the dining areas, grills or card rooms. Denim (jeans of any color), sweat suits, tank tops, cut-offs, jogging shorts and tennis shorts are not permitted. T-shirts are not permitted on the grounds, the course, or in the clubhouse.

O      Soft Spikes are required.  Spike change out is $10 in the Pro-Shop.

O      Club Rentals are available and limited to one set per group. The number of rental sets is limited and available only with advance reservation. Please call Rosanna Bellotti to make a reservation. Rental fee of $25 to $60 is to be paid in the Pro-Shop prior to play.

SAFECO FIELD

FROM I-5 (Southbound) Take 4th Avenue Exit. Drive toward ballpark and move to left lane.
FROM I-5 (Northbound) Take South Atlantic Exit (164B). Stay in left lane.
From Either Direction: At the light (Edgar Martinez Drive) turn right (ballpark on right). Take first right into Safeco Field Garage, before Occidental Street (do NOT turn onto Occidental). When entering the garage, tell the attendant that you are with the Children’s Golf Classic to receive the event rate. Once you park, cross the street on foot. Entrance to Safeco Field will be the Home Plate Gate at the corner of First Avenue South and Edgar Martinez Drive.

THE GOLF CLUB AT NEWCASTLE

FROM I-405: North or South bound take Exit #10 – Coal Creek Parkway.  At signal light, head east on Coal Creek Parkway.  Follow for 2.5 miles to Coal Creek Marketplace Shopping Center.  Turn left at signal light on SE 72^nd Place.  Follow up hill to stop sign.  Turn left on SE Newcastle/Coal Creek Road.  Continue for 1.4 miles.  Turn right at 155^th SE. Turn right at Six Penny Lane, this is the entrance to the Golf Club at Newcastle. Follow to the top of the hill. 

FROM I-90: Take Exit #13 and follow Lakemont Blvd. SE heading south. Approximately 3.3 miles from I-90, turn left at 155^th SE.  Turn right at Six Penny Lane, this is the entrance to the Golf Club at Newcastle. Follow to the top of the hill.  

BROADMOOR GOLF CLUB

From Seattle: Take I-5 to the 520 exit (east to Bellevue). Take first exit off 520 (Montlake, UW). Go straight through intersection onto Lake Washington Blvd for ¾ mile. Turn left onto Foster Island Road (100 ft. beyond 3-way stop). Take the second right off Foster Island Rd. at the Broadmoor guardhouse, a small brick building on the right about ¼ mile. This is the back entrance to the Broadmoor Community.

From Downtown Seattle: Take Madison Avenue East past 23rd Street and you will see the front gate of the Broadmoor Community on the left. There are prominent arches and a Security guardhouse. Once inside the community, follow the yellow line on the road, going slowly through the Broadmoor community until you see the Golf Club on the right.

From Bellevue and Eastside: Take 520 Westbound to Lake Washington Blvd. At 3-way stop, turn onto Lake Washington Blvd. Stay in the center lane and take the left turn onto Foster Island Rd. Take second right off Foster Island Rd at the Broadmoor guardhouse, a small brick building on the right at about ¼ mile.

INGLEWOOD GOLF CLUB

From I-5:  Northbound or Southbound on I-5, take the Lake Forest Park exit (number 177).  At the end of the ramp, head east on Ballinger Way, and continue for 2.7 miles.  Turn left onto Bothell Way.  Follow Bothell Way for 1.3 miles and turn right on 68^th Ave. NE.  Drive ½ mile.  Turn right at the second light (Inglewood Road).  Follow road for 3/10 mile to the Clubhouse.  Parking is in front of and on the side of the Clubhouse; parking is also available adjacent to the Pro Shop.

MERIDIAN VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB

From the North (Seattle):  Take I-5 exit 152 and turn left on Orillia Road. Stay on Orillia, it becomes SE 212th and eventually SE 208th. Turn right onto 132nd Ave SE. Turn left at SE 247th Street into Meridian Valley and ask the guard for directions to the clubhouse.
From the East (Bellevue):  Take I-405 south to Auburn-Kent exit 2-A. This is Hwy 167 South. Exit at 212th Street and turn left at light. This eventually becomes SE 208th. Turn right onto 132nd Ave SE. Turn left at SE 247th Street into Meridian Valley.
From the South (Tacoma):  On I-5 take exit 142A (Auburn-North Bend) and follow Hwy 18. Turn right onto 304th SE exit. Turn right at the stop sign and right again at the stop light. You should now be on 132nd Ave SE. Turn right at SE 247th Street into Meridian Valley.

THE PLATEAU CLUB

FROM I-90 East: Exit #15 – Lake Sammamish State Park. Left onto 17^th Ave. NW (will turn into SE 56^th St) follow for .9 miles.  Left onto East Lake Sammamish Parkway SE follow for 1.3 miles.  Right onto SE 43^rd Way (will turn into 228^th Ave. SE) follow for 3.5 miles.  Right onto SE 8th and follow for 1.5 miles. Right onto E. Main Drive and follow for .5 miles. Entrance to Club will be on your right.

FROM 520 East: Exit at SR202/Fall City-Redmond Way. Right off exit onto SR202 and follow SR202 for 2.5 miles. Right onto NE Sahalee Way (Grey Barn Nursery) and follow Sahalee Way for 4.6 miles (Sahalee Way turns into 228th). Left onto SE 8th and follow for 1.5 miles. Right onto E. Main Drive and follow for .5 miles. Entrance to Club on right-hand side.

SAHALEE COUNTRY CLUB

FROM 520 (Eastbound): Follow 520 to the Fall City/ Redmond Way (Hwy. 202) Exit. Turn right onto the Redmond Fall City Hwy (Hwy. 202). Continue for 2.3 miles to Sahalee Way NE (at the Gray Barn). Turn right onto Sahalee Way NE and proceed up the hill for 1.1 miles to NE 36th. Turn right onto NE 36th. Take an immediate left and check in at the gated entrance to Sahalee. The guard will direct you to the clubhouse.

FROM I-90 (Eastbound): I-90 eastbound to Exit 15 (Holiday Inn -VIP Restaurant). Take exit north to SE 56th. Turn right on SE 56th to East Lake Sammamish Parkway. Turn left on East Lake Sammamish Pkwy and proceed 6.7 miles to Inglewood Hill Road. Turn right on Inglewood Hill Road and proceed 1.8 miles to the corner of 228th Ave NE. Turn left on 228th Ave. NE and proceed 2.3 miles to NE 36th St. Turn left on NE 36th St. to the Sahalee Country Club entrance.

WASHINGTON NATIONAL GOLF CLUB

From I-5 or Hwy 167: Take Highway 18 East (From I-5 - Exit 142A).  Take the Auburn-Black Diamond Road exit. Turn right on Auburn-Black Diamond Road and follow for approximately 2.5 miles. Turn right on 148th Way SE and go approximately 1 mile. Washington National is on the right.
